Melody Lloyd: Continuing to Make a Difference

For Melody Lloyd, teaching has never simply been a job — it has been a lifelong commitment to helping students grow, succeed, and believe in themselves. And while she could have retired in December, her passion for education, combined with the meaningful impact of the Teacher Incentive Allotment, inspired her to continue serving students for a few more years.
“This is the top salary of my career,” Melody shared, noting that she is now making more than she did while working as a math consultant at Region 10. The TIA allotment has not only strengthened her retirement benefits, but also affirmed the value of the hard work and expertise she brings into the classroom every day.
More importantly, Melody says the recognition motivates her to continue pushing herself professionally so that students show real academic growth. Her focus remains exactly where it has always been — on helping students succeed and making a lasting difference in their lives.
On a personal level, the additional income has also given Melody a little more freedom to enjoy life and spend extra time and resources on the people she loves most: her family. That balance of professional fulfillment and personal blessing has made this season of her career especially meaningful.
Celeste ISD is grateful that Melody Lloyd chose to continue sharing her talent, wisdom, and dedication with students. Her experience, commitment, and heart for growth continue to make a powerful impact in classrooms and beyond.
