Nadine Rayborne: Helping Students Know They Matter

With 23 years of teaching experience, Nadine Rayborne has dedicated her career to making sure students feel seen, supported, and capable of success. A graduate of Texas Woman’s University with a Bachelor of Science degree and Grand Canyon University with a Master of Education, Nadine currently teaches 10th and 12th grade English while also directing One Act Play at Celeste ISD.
For Nadine, one of the greatest blessings of teaching in a small school is the ability to truly know her students. She values being able to work closely with those who need extra support while also building relationships with all students so she can help each one grow to their fullest potential. That personal connection is at the center of everything she does.
Her passion for teaching was shaped by her own experiences growing up. Nadine remembers two teachers in particular who took the time to understand what she was facing outside of school and intentionally made sure she had the support and encouragement she needed each day. Their compassion and attentiveness changed the course of her life and inspired her to become the kind of teacher who makes sure no student ever feels overlooked or less than because of their circumstances.
Today, Nadine carries that same heart into her classroom. More than anything, she wants students to know “they can learn, they can grow, and most importantly, they matter.” That message of worth, hope, and possibility is woven into every lesson she teaches and every relationship she builds.
Outside of school, Nadine and her husband enjoy traveling and spending as much time as possible with their three daughters and three grandchildren. Family, connection, and care are clearly at the heart of who she is — both inside and outside the classroom.
Celeste ISD is grateful for the compassion, wisdom, and dedication Nadine Rayborne brings to her students every single day. Through her teaching, she continues to change lives in meaningful and lasting ways.
