Kathy Hise is known for many things at Celeste ISD — her kindness, her sense of humor, her love of technology and science, and the positive energy she brings everywhere she goes. She is the kind of educator who makes learning exciting while also building genuine connections with the people around her.

For Kathy, receiving the Teacher Incentive Allotment has been deeply meaningful, not only professionally, but personally as well. This summer, thanks to the opportunities provided through TIA, Kathy and her family will be taking their very first family cruise together. Even more special, she is able to pay for all seven family members to go — something she says would not have been possible otherwise.

“Family is my most prized possession,” Kathy shared, and the allotment has given her the freedom to create experiences and memories with the people she loves most. The excitement she feels about being able to do more with her family shines through in everything she says.

At the same time, Kathy continues investing in herself as an educator. This summer, she plans to purchase several online courses through TCEA to strengthen and expand what she will bring into her classroom next year. Her passion for technology, science, and lifelong learning reflects her constant desire to grow and give students the very best experience possible.
