Celeste FFA held a Chapter Banquet on Thursday, May 19, 2022, to honor FFA members that excelled in leadership, speaking and career development events.  Junior FFA members, Greenhand and Chapter member degrees, official members, Proficiency, Star, Who’s Who and Outstanding FFA members were recognized.  Kevin and Kim Richey received the Honorary Member award.  Leadership, speaking, Ag Mech and judging teams were recognized.  Mr. Steve Wilson recognized the top Ag Mechanics students.  Mr. Stephen Dillard gave details of the year-in-review including recognizing American Farmer recipient Jaycee Brown, and Lone Star recipient Justin Richey.  FFA Booster Club President Chad Brown presented FFA seniors, Caleigh Cummings, Brandon Lewis, Brody Pryor, Justin Richey, Kalyn Riley and Jerret Stone with scholarships in the amount of $750.  Justin and Jerret were also awarded a $1000 Texas A&M - Commerce College of Agriculture and Natural Resources Scholarship, and Justin received a $1,000 scholarship from an anonymous donor.  Senior member Justin Richey retired his FFA jacket and gave an outstanding retiring address.  The banquet concluded with the introduction of the 2022-2023 incoming officer team including President: Paris Walker, Vice-President: Koby Brown, Secretary: Preslee Minter, Treasurer: Ally D’Amico, Reporter: Madisyn Douglas, Sentinel: Luke Beadles, Student Advisor: Michael Connelly and Historian: Regan Adams.
