Celeste FFA held a banquet to honor FFA members on Thursday, May 16, 2019 in the Celeste High School Dining Hall.  This past year has been very prosperous for the Celeste FFA chapter.  Many members received recognition for their hard work in the areas of leadership, livestock production and exhibition and career development.  Six senior chapter officers concluded their year by giving heartfelt retiring speeches.  Each officer addressed the audience by giving thanks and sharing stories of success, growth, fun and the life experiences that they had gained through the FFA.  The program concluded with the introduction of the 2019-2020 officer team: President; Jaycee Brown, 1st Vice President; Kloe Walker, 2nd Vice President; Raegan Sumrow, Secretary; Heather Hudson, Treasurer; Justin Richey, Reporter; Karalyn Goodman, Sentinel; Cori Jordan, Student Advisor; Chelsea Young, Historian; Renee Gray, Parliamentarian; Sierra Qualls

Honorary degrees were presented to Terry and Vonda Douglas, Angie Wilson and Celeste High School Principal James Branam. Honorary membership is given to those who help to advance agricultural education and the FFA and who have rendered outstanding service to the chapter.  

The Celeste FFA Booster Club President, Chad Brown, presented scholarships in the amount of $500 to the following students: James Blankenship, Chance Brown, Bethany Carter, Josie Crossland, Jaxson Dillard, Kaden Douglas and Kambrie Hogue.  Thanks to an anonymous donor, Jaxson Dillard, Kambrie Hogue and Jacklyn Jackson were the recipients of the Premier FFA Scholarship each in the amount of $500.
