Grant Fuels STEM and Robotics Growth at CHS

Celeste High School has been selected to participate in the 2025–2026 Texas Regional Pathways Network (TRPN) Cohort. To boost student interest, increase exposure, and develop high-quality career and education pathways in engineering, math, and robotics, Celeste ISD applied for the TRPN grant last spring.
Through this rural STEM initiative, a partnership was formed between Farmersville ISD, Blue Ridge ISD, Bland ISD, and Celeste ISD. Farmersville ISD’s Engineering Academy and Collin College serve as the lead institutions for this collaborative project.
“This partnership has been unbelievable for our Celeste High School students,” said robotics teacher Kathy Hise. “The grant has provided funding for VEX robotics equipment, 3D printers, teacher training, and ongoing robotics support. With this guidance and support, our students are building robots and competing in robotics tournaments. There’s no doubt they’re gaining valuable skills and experiences that can lead to future careers in engineering and manufacturing.”
The Celeste robotics team has already competed in two contests, and the district looks forward to watching students continue to design, problem-solve, and engineer as they prepare for upcoming competitions.
