Theda Compton Lacy Receives Special Recognition 
at the Celeste High School All- Sports

Theda Lacy was one of the early era Lady Blue Devils, or Blue Devilenas, in the late 1930's.  Her accomplishments as an All-State Guard and starter on the high school varsity basketball team as a seventh grader and throughout her high school career helped Celeste become known as a "girls basketball" town.  This was accomplished during an era where there were no size classifications between schools.  This also recognizes Theda's sportsmanship and many contributions to the Blue Devil athletic program, as the Celeste girl's basketball coach in 1944 and as a life-long supporter of Celeste High School, and its athletic programs.
