POWERlifting Blue Devils - Self Made Success!

Celeste High School had 37 students participate and compete at a powerlifting meet this year (11 girls, 26 boys).  “From the practice meet we had at the beginning of January to the end of the season, the average improvement on their totals went up by 104.5lbs, which is an incredible amount of improvement for roughly a 2-month period of time.  We are proud of each of our student athletes for all of their accomplishments and how they represented Celeste,” stated powerlifting coach, Blair Elliot.  For regionals, we had 6 girls make it and 13 boys (only 2 schools in our region qualified more guys).  At the regional meets, we had 2 girls and 5 boys qualify for state (along with 3 other guys medaling in the top 5).  Our boys earned enough team points to finish 2nd in the region out of 31 schools and set 6 regional records.
