Powerlifting Teams Prepare for Regional Meet

The Celeste Powerlifting head coach, Blair Elliot, recently stated, “Our girls and guys have done very well so far this season.  We've gone to two large meets over the past two weeks and now have most of our student athletes sitting well for regionals.  The top 12 lifters in each weight class compete at regionals.  The top 2 per class at the regional meet go on to the state meet.”

In the girls’ competition, Riley Almand (7th in the region), Caleigh Cummings (7th in the region), and Makinna Hill (11th in the region), qualified for the regional meet at Rice High School this Saturday, February 26th.  Good Luck to the Lady Blue Devils at the regional meet.

Shout out to Jerret Stone for placing 2nd in the 148 weight class at the Commerce High School Meet which was held on February 19th.  The boys’ regional qualifiers will be determined on February 26th.  The boys regional meet will be held at Malakoff High School on March 5th.
