As the STAAR testing season kicks off, it’s time for our Blue Devils to shine! Here’s a glance at the 2024 STAAR Testing Calendar, coupled with some valuable tips to ensure your student has a successful testing experience:

Prioritize Rest: Encourage your child to get a good night’s sleep. Establish a bedtime routine that includes turning off electronics at least 30-60 minutes before bedtime. A well-rested mind is crucial for tackling the challenges of the STAAR tests.

Prepare in Advance: Help your Blue Devil get ready for the testing day by ensuring their clothes and school supplies are organized and ready to go the night before.

Fuel Up with a Nutritious Breakfast: A balanced breakfast is essential for fueling the mind.

Arrive Early and Prepared: Arriving at school early allows time for preparation. Teachers will ensure students have all necessary supplies and are ready to begin the test confidently.

Take Your Time: Remind your child not to rush through the test. Encourage them to read directions and questions carefully, answering each one fully. If unsure about an answer, it’s okay to skip it and come back to it later.

Stay Positive and Confident: Encourage a positive mindset. Remind your Blue Devil to believe in themselves and their abilities. With confidence and effort, they will undoubtedly shine like stars on the STAAR tests!
