CHS 2021 Valedictorian & Salutatorian

Celeste High School is proud to announce the Class of 2021 Valedictorian Jared Sherwin and Salutatorian Raegan Sumrow: 

Val and Sal 2021

Jared Sherwin is the son of Jim and Kim Sherwin. He has participated in Cross Country, Basketball, Baseball, and Golf for four years. He has also served as his class vice president for 4 years and has been a member of the Beta Club for all four years, including President for two of those years. Jared has also been an FCA Officer for four years, he has been an FFA member for two years, and served on the student advisory committee for one year. He has also participated in several UIL Academic events and has qualified for regionals each year. He is actively involved in his church and youth group. Jared has earned numerous academic and athletic awards in high school. Jared is graduating with a 106.2 GPA and will be attending Texas A&M University in the fall to pursue a degree in Biomedical Engineering. 

Raegan Sumrow is the daughter of Steve and Heather Sumrow. Raegan is involved in many activities. During high school, she ran cross county for 1 year, played tennis for 1 year, basketball for 2 years, golf for 3 years, and cheered all 4 years. Raegan has also been involved in FCA for 4 years, Beta Club for 4 years, FFA for 4 years, the Student Advisory Committee for 1 year, and has been the Class Treasurer for 4 years. Although she enjoys all of her activities, her most favorite hobby is showing her Red Brahman cattle year round; she is currently serving as a Texas Junior Brahman Association director. She has received multiple awards in academics, athletics, and the FFA. Raegan is graduating with a GPA of 105.77. In the fall, Raegan will be attending Texas A&M University in College Station to pursue a degree in Agribusiness.
