Celeste ISD is proud to recognize Mrs. Kathy Hise as an Exemplary Teacher, a heartfelt and well-earned honor for an educator who has spent over two decades shaping young minds with skill, compassion, laughter, and unwavering dedication.
Now in her 24th year of teaching—and her 11th year with Celeste ISD—Mrs. Hise brings a wealth of experience and passion to the classroom. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction, credentials that reflect her deep commitment to student learning and growth.
When asked what she loves most about being part of the Celeste community, Mrs. Hise shared, “The best part about being a Blue Devil is the people! I love the small class sizes because it makes it easier to get to know the students. After being in the same district for a while, it's fun to teach kids from the same families. It is also great that the people I work with make it more of a family environment than a place of work. This year, I worked on 2 campuses, and I love it and my new coworkers.”
Her words beautifully capture the spirit of Celeste ISD: a district where students are known, supported, and celebrated—and where educators like Mrs. Hise make a lasting difference. Whether she’s teaching in one classroom or across multiple campuses, Mrs. Hise continues to lead with heart, knowledge, grace, and humor.
We are so grateful for all that she brings to our schools and so proud to honor her as an Exemplary Teacher. Thank you, Mrs. Hise, for your many contributions and for being such a treasured part of the Celeste ISD family.
