Celebrating Excellence: Jamie D'Amico, A True Educator at Heart

At Celeste ISD, we are proud to celebrate the passion, dedication, and heart of an exceptional teacher: Jamie D'Amico. Now in her 19th year of teaching, Mrs. D'Amico brings a wealth of experience, energy, and enthusiasm to her classroom every single day.

Currently inspiring students in grades 6 through 8 in Reading Language Arts (RLA), Mrs. D'Amico’s impact reaches far beyond the pages of literature and grammar. Her career journey has been as diverse as it has been impactful — having previously taught English II and III, U.S. History, Texas History, Special Education Life Skills, and Resource Reading for 7th and 8th grade students. Her versatility and dedication to meeting students where they are make her a true cornerstone of the school community.

When asked what she loves most about teaching at Celeste Junior High, Mrs. D'Amico shares, “The people I get to work with every day.” It’s a simple yet powerful testament to the supportive and collaborative spirit that defines the school — a spirit she herself helps foster each day through her kindness, professionalism, and passion for teaching.
