THE 2018 RED RIBBON THEME: LIFE IS YOUR JOURNEY, TRAVEL DRUG FREE.  Dress up and show your support to be drug free!

Red Ribbon Week

NATIONAL RED RIBBON CAMPAIGN™

The National Family Partnership organized the first Nationwide Red Ribbon Campaign. NFP provides drug awareness by sponsoring the annual National Red Ribbon Campaign™. Since its beginning in 1985, the Red Ribbon has touched the lives of millions of people around the world. In response to the murder of DEA Agent Enrique Camarena, angered parents and youth in communities across the country began wearing Red Ribbons as a symbol of their commitment to raise awareness of the killing and destruction cause by drugs in America. Red Ribbon Week

Taeya Moore, a student at Solon Middle School in Solon, Ohio created the winning theme for 2018 Red Ribbon Week, which takes place October 23-31. Taeya's theme, "Life Is Your Journey. Travel Drug Free™." was selected among thousands of Red Ribbon theme ideas submitted by students, parents, educators and members of communities across America.

Be all you can be on red ribbon week

This year students in Celeste Junior High and high school are supporting Red Ribbon week and their commitment to be drug free by dressing up each day.  The event kicked off on Monday with students dressing in camo for “Be All You Can Be, Be Drug Free!” day.
