A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Celeste Independent School District will be held on July 17, 2007, beginning at 7 p.m. in the Board Conference Room of the Celeste Independent School District at 207 S. 5th Street, Celeste, Texas.

 

The subjects to be discussed or considered, or upon which any formal action may be taken, are as follows:  (Items do not have to be taken in the same order as shown on this meeting notice.)

 

1.      Call to order.

2.       Invocation.

3.      Members present (president will state if quorum  is present)

4.      Public comments /audience participation.

5.      Minutes from previous meeting(s).

6.      Financial reports.                                                         

7.      Budget amendments.

8.       Review quarterly investment report.

9.       Budget study.

10.     Review of the 2007-08 campus student handbooks.

11.   Consider adopting the Order Authorizing the Issuance of the School Building Bonds, Series 2007 and take all          necessary action thereof.

12.   Purchase of new computers and other computer equipment for new high school lab.

13.  Career and Technology Education changes for high school.

14.  Purchase of new tractor and sell existing tractor.

15.  Cafeteria pricing for 07-08 school year.     

16.  Resolution amending authorized representatives for TexPool fund.

17.  Site Location for new high school.

18.   TASB Policy Update 80, affecting  local policies.

19.   2007-2008 budget adoption date.

20.  2007-2008 proposed tax rate and adoption date.

21.  Employment of professional personnel.

22.  Personnel resignations.

23.  Legislative update training for school board trustees.

24.  Adjourn.

 

 

 

 

If, during the course of the meeting, discussion of any item on the agenda should be held in a closed meeting, the Board will conduct a closed meeting in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter 551, Subchapters D and E.  Before any closed meeting is convened, the presiding officer will publicly identify the section or sections of the Act authorizing the closed meeting.  All final votes, actions, or decisions will be taken in open meeting.
