February 20, 2007

A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Celeste Independent School District will be held on February 20, 2007, beginning at 7 p.m. in the Board Conference Room of the Celeste Independent School District at 207 S. 5^th Street, Celeste, Texas.

The subjects to be discussed or considered, or upon which any formal action may be taken, are as follows:  (Items do not have to be taken in the same order as shown on this meeting notice.)

1.      Call to order.

2.       Invocation.

3.      Members present (president will state if quorum is present)

4.      Public comments /audience participation.

5.      Minutes from previous meeting(s).

6.      Financial reports.

7.      Budget Amendments.

8.      Call school board election and contract with Hunt county to hold the elections.

9.      Review of the Comptroller’s 2006 Value Study and appeal process.

10.  Board Resolution Extending Depository Contract for Funds. 

11.  Modified Schedule/TAKS Testing Days Waiver.

12.  Elementary P.E. Facility update.

13.  Facility planning committee report.

14.  Purchase of Real Estate.

15. Athletic director contract.

16.  Counselor’s contract.

17.  High School, Elementary/Jr. High principal and assistant principal’s contract.

18.   Adjourn.

If, during the course of the meeting, discussion of any item on the agenda should be held in a closed meeting, the Board will conduct a closed meeting in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter 551, Subchapters D and E.  Before any closed meeting is convened, the presiding officer will publicly identify the section or sections of the Act authorizing the closed meeting.  All final votes, actions, or decisions will be taken in open meeting.
