Wendy’s High School Heisman Scholarship Program

Applying for the Wendy’s High School Heisman Scholarship is your chance to be rewarded and gain local, state, and even national recognition for all that you’ve put into your high school career. If you’ve maintained at least a B average, participate in at least one school-sponsored sport, are a leader in your community and role model at your school, then you’ve got what it takes to be a Wendy’s High School Heisman. The Wendy’s High School Heisman application has two phases. Phase 1 is where you will provide information about your academic performance, athletic achievements and community involvement. Phase 1 has an earlier deadline and is required to be reviewed by a school official. Phase 2  has a later deadline and is not required to be reviewed. It consists of a few essay questions and allows you to provide supporting information about your achievements. Phase 1 of your application must be completed and submitted by October 2, 2017 at 3 p.m. PT/6 p.m. ET.

Horatio Alger Ronald C. Waranch Scholarship Program (Texas)

Award Amount: The total value of this award is $10,000 paid out in installments annually. If the student receives this award he/she is guaranteed the funding for the full 5 years of his/her undergraduate program by maintaining a grade point average of 2.0 or higher.

Recipients Two awards offered annually. Application Deadline: October 25th

Requirements: Must attend high school in Texas. Must be a resident of Texas.

Must be a U.S. citizen.Must be enrolled full time as a high school senior, progressing normally toward graduation, and planning to enter college no later than the fall semester following graduation. Must demonstrate a critical financial need. $55,000 or less adjusted gross income per family is preferred; a written explanation must be provided if income is higher. Must demonstrate academic achievement with a grade point average of 2.0 or higher.

The Horatio Alger Ronald C. Waranch Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to students in the State of Texas who have exhibited integrity and perseverance in overcoming personal adversity and who aspire to pursue higher education. This award is funded through the generosity of the Ronald C. Waranch Foundation. The applicant must have a strong commitment to pursue a bachelor's degree at an accredited institution. The student may begin his/her studies at a two-year institution and then transfer to a four-year institution. The applicant must also plan to enter college no later than the fall following high school graduation. Each applicant must demonstrate involvement in co-curricular and community activities. Scholarship recipients will be announced in January.

Coca- Cola Scholars Foundation, INC.

The Coca-Cola Scholars Program is an achievement-based scholarship awarded to graduating high school seniors. Students are recognized for their capacity to lead and serve, and their commitment to making a significant impact on their schools and communities.
