I began teaching Ag Science in the Celeste ISD in 2007 – 2008 school year. I am beginning my 10th year as the Ag Science Teacher and FFA Advisor.
After graduating from Texas A&M in 1990, I moved form College Station, Texas, to Decatur, Texas. I began working for the Texas Agriculture Extension Service as the 4-H agent for Wise County. In 1993, I took the Ag Science teaching position at Tom Bean HS and stayed there until 2001. In 2001, I accepted the Ag Science position at Blue Ridge HS and stayed there until I took the Ag Science position at Celeste HS in 2007.
Julie and I met through the FFA program when we were sophomores (1983) in high school. I guess the saying is the rest is history. We were high school sweethearts. We both graduated from Texas A&M University and shortly afterwards we were married. We were married on June 1, 1991. We have one child. Jaxson was born in April of 2001. He is currently attending Texas Tech University.
When I’m not teaching, I have a busy schedule outside school. We love to show livestock. We have market lambs, breeding lambs, and a show heifer. It is a true family hobby. It takes us all to accomplish our goals with our busy schedules.
I love to watch almost all sports. I love to watch all the kids in Celeste Blue Devil athletics. I am a die hard Texas Aggie football fan and Dallas Cowboy fan.
